Nancy Chase

One of San Diego’s top public affairs specialist, Nancy M. Chase is the Founder and Principal of The Chase Group (TCG) and Public Policy Partners (PPP), both full-service public affairs consulting firms. Chase has more than 25 years experience as a leader in San Diego’s business and political community. 

Nancy Chase represents a wide variety of corporate clients throughout San Diego County and in Sacramento.  They include, or have included,  Herzog Contracting Corp., an international infrastructure contracting firm specializing in transit and landfill operations; Poseidon Resources Corporation, an international water development firm specializing in developing large scale infrastructure de-salination plants in the U.S. and Mexico; San Diego Area Credit Unions PAC representing all major area credit unions; Prudential Financial as they develop pension fund solutions to meet the area’s growing financial needs.; Beazer Homes, one of the Nation’s largest home builders. Gregory Canyon Landfill Ltd., a landfill development company on the verge of permitting the first new landfill in southern CA in 30 years; Parsons Corp., an international construction management firm recently awarded the contract for the redevelopment of San Diego’s Community Colleges; EDS, one of the largest information technology firms in the United States recently awarded San Diego County’s IT contract.; and Brookfield Homes, Inc., an award winning home developer; The Blackstone Group in their efforts to preserve the Golden Door; and numerous other clients who need to relay their story to government representatives, elected officials and stakeholder groups within communities.

In addition, Ms. Chase is a highly proficient Campaign and Fundraising Consultant, enabling the election of valued Congress members, State Assembly and State Senate members, San Diego District Attorneys, Mayors and council members. She has also participated in many successful ballot initiatives including Prop. MM in San Diego, approving the second largest school bond in the state, Prop. F in San Marcos approving University Commons, and most recently San Diego County’s Prop. B, heading-off a multi-million dollar campaign attempting to stop Gregory Canyon, a much-needed part of the area’s waste management plan.  Chase’s fundraising expertise has also benefited many local and international non-profits some of which include, St. Augustine High School, The Grauer School of Encinitas, the Chula Vista Nature Conservancy, the San Diego Repertory Theater, and Opportunity International.

Chase actively volunteers on behalf of her community, and serves on several important boards of directors including the San Diego County Taxpayers Association.  She enjoys skiing, cooking, and time with her three children.

Samantha Bowman

Samantha BowmanSamantha Bowman, a Coronado native, began her career in sales and marketing with a local importer of fine oriental arts. During her 18-year tenure within that industry she was responsible for the management and purchasing for outlets within the gift, home décor, clothing, cycling and personal care arenas.

She was phenomenally successful in facilitating the growth of a manufacturer’s wholesale territory from less than $100K to $3.5M and oversaw the climb of a popular company’s retail outlet from 37th to top 10 corporate-wide.

Bowman continued to serve the business community through the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. As the Emerging Business Center’s Program Coordinator, she worked to the benefit of San Diego County’s 72,000+ small businesses.

Bowman’s other experiences extend into the fields of politics, media, and event planning, including a San Diego City-wide campaign for City Attorney and Under the direction of Nancy M. Chase, three successful San Diego County Ballot Initiatives. She now serves as policy advocate and project assistant for Public Policy Partners LLC. and leads Coronado’s Substance Abuse Prevention Non-Profit, Coronado SAFE.

She has been actively involved as a political volunteer, both at the local and state levels, as well as a philanthropic contributor through many organizations including Job’s Daughters, The American Lung Association, and the Junior League. However, her most prized position is that of mother to 18-year old honor student and Eagle Scout, Collin Blake Bowman.

Keith Battle

Keith BattleFor the past twelve years, elected officials, tribal council representatives, judges, businessmen, and members of the community have relied on Keith Battle’s great advice as a political consultant to further their cause, broaden their public image, realize their goals, and win their battles. Battle Strategies offers services in: lobbying, political advice, strategic planning, public relations, and media relations.

Keith Battle served as San Diego County Supervisor Bill Horn’s District Director from 1995 – 1999, where he was in charge of the North County District Office as well as public safety, planning, labor, Air Pollution Control District, and judicial matters. For example, Keith worked on behalf of Supervisor Horn to expand and modernize the North County Courthouse from trailers to a large, centralized judicial facility by securing funding and gaining broad community and municipal support. From 2000 – 2003, Keith served as State Assemblyman Mark Wyland’s (R-74th AD) Director of Communications, in charge of all publicity and community relations. As a popular political campaign consultant, Keith has managed everything from US senate races to city council elections, as well as local and statewide ballot initiatives.

Keith also worked diligently with the US Army Corp of Engineers, CA State Fish and Game , US Fish and Wildlife Service, State Regional Water Quality Control Board, the California Integrated Waste Management Board, the Department of Planning and Land Use, the Air Pollution Control District and other agencies.

In 2002, Keith was elected to the Fallbrook Public Utility District (FPUD). Since then he has served as FPUD’s Board President and been appointed to the Association of California Water Agencies’ Communications and Legislative Committees. He recently was re-elected to his second term. Keith is a registered lobbyist with the County of San Diego , City of San Diego , and the City of Oceanside . He is a member and or attends numerous organizations, such as the Southwest California Legislative Council, SANDAG, San Diego Farm Bureau, Association of General Contractors, Building Industry Association, North County Transit, the Fallbrook Planning Group, North County Economic Advisory Board, the Fallbrook Village Rotary, and Carlsbad , Oceanside , Vista, Escondido , Santee Chamber of Commerce. In addition currently he is running the grassroots campaign for Pala Mesa Highlands and working to solve waste management infrastructure needs with Gregory Canyon LTD.

Keith is a California native. He and his wife Julie and their four children have made their home in Fallbrook.
